TOM FRUIN
Brooklyn, New York
As the girders and framework for One World Trade Center were rising above the New York City skyline, Tom Fruin and his team erect the first of his steel and colorful salvaged plexiglass, Water Towers in DUMBO Brooklyn.
Wind blowing, 150 feet above Jay Street in Brooklyn, ring by ring, Tom Fruin’s vision to create a giant kaleidoscope colored Water Tower begins to emerge with the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges as a backdrop against the New York City landscape.
As the last section for the roof of the Water Tower was secured into place, a rainbow appeared through a massive white cloud as it touched down in Brooklyn.
A truly auspicious moment.
